Transport Canada – PFAS Results
UPDATE: December 18, 2024
Transport Canada has recently received the results of the PFAS testing conducted at the Newfoundland Vintners Inc. facility. These results have been forwarded and are detailed below. Transport Canada has reported the level of PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) at this location is 4.6 nanograms per litre. This is below the Canadian Drinking Water Standard of 30 nanograms per litre. The water will continue to be monitored and further testing will be conducted to ensure the levels remain within the acceptable standard.
